(Beritadaerah – Sukoharjo) Pemerintah Kabupaten Sukoharjo terus berupaya meningkatkan perekonomian, khususnya pada sektor pertanian yang menjadi andalan. Salah satunya, dengan menggelar bazar, yang sekaligus cara memangkas rantai perdagangan.
Hal itu disampaikan Bupati Sukoharjo Etik Suryani, saat membuka Bazar Produk Tani, di Kecamatan Gatak, Jumat (7/1). Menurutnya, Kecamatan Gatak adalah kecamatan ketiga yang menggelar bazar produk tani, setelah Kecamatan Bendosari dan Sukoharjo. Melalui bazar produk tani tersebut, semakin mendekatkan produk tani pada konsumen, sehingga mampu meningkatkan perekonomian di sektor pertanian.
Bupati Etik mengatakan, pemulihan ekonomi nasional menjadi program wajib yang harus dilaksanakan di semua sektor, agar ekonomi segera bangkit dan kesejahteraan masyarakat segera pulih. Terlebih, sektor pertanian merupakan satu-satunya sektor yang paling eksis sebagai penyumbang terbesar pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia.
“Pandemi Corona membawa dampak bagi petani, terutama petani berlahan sempit dan bermodal terbatas. Hal itu dikarenakan harga sarana produksi sudah mulai naik, sehingga biaya produksi untuk budidaya juga meningkat,” ujarnya.
Menurut bupati, kendala utama yang dihadapi petani sebagai produsen pangan adalah keterbatasan akses dalam penjualan hasil panen. Sejumlah petani bahkan menjual hasil panennya kepada penebas dan tidak punya nilai tawar yang tinggi. Di sisi lain, konsumen tidak pernah merasakan penurunan harga pangan.
Selama ini, lanjutnya, Sukoharjo merupakan kabupaten penyangga pangan di Jawa Tengah, dengan potensi produksi padi yang tinggi. Hal itu didukung kesuburan lahan dan jiwa gotong royong petaninya yang tinggi. Bahkan, saat ini Kabupaten Sukoharjo merupakan pelaksana kegiatan superprioritas terluas se-Indonesia, dalam optimalisasi peningkatan Indeks Pertamanan (IP 400) seluas 10.000 hektare pada 2022.
“Sebagai konsekuensi peningkatan hasil panen petani tersebut, maka perlu dicarikan solusi untuk memasarkan hasil panen dari petani pelaksana kegiatan IP 400 tersebut. Selain itu, agar konsumen pangan dapat menikmati produk segar hasil pertanian dengan harga terjangkau, dan petani sebagai produsen pangan dapat menjual hasil panen dengan harga yang lebih pantas, karena memotong jalur distribusi,” jelas Etik.
Bupati berharap, kegiatan bazar produk tani membuat para pelaku sektor pertanian, khususnya kelompok tani, Gapoktan, dan KWT, agar dapat lebih produktif dan menunjukkan karyanya di tengah pandemi corona. Selain itu, berinovasi untuk menghasilkan produk-produk pertanian yang berkualitas. Dengan begitu, kesejahteraan petani akan meningkat.
